I'm looking at a Benz right now and am wondering which dealership is better do deal with on a service basis.

I've heard good and bad things about both Lonestar and Hyatt. Just wanted some opinions especially on things like loner cars, service wait times, and overall service.

Thanks

Loner cars are lonely

Of all threads I've read on these 2, it's basically a crap shot. So I guess it's more about location.

I know many of the salespeople at Lonestar. My mom used to work there, but even after she left they have been nothing but a pleasure to deal with. the mechanics are spectacular aswell, i would trust my first born son with Hanos.

Hyatt for service. The wifey has an axe to grind against Lonestar so she only takes the car to Hyatt. Thus far, service has been excellent from Hyatt.

Seems like a crapshoot! For service is it easy to get a loner if you book far enough in advance or is it shuttle service at both places?

What's Lindsey's issue with Lonestar?

Has lonestar service not improved since the slk320/32 days?

I have been purposefully avoiding the dealership because I know if I go in I will walk away with a deposit on a C63. Is Mercedes offering any deals now like BMW is on their entire line? I don't want to go in there to kick tires because I know I will buy myself an early Christmas present.

Not on the C63! Time to upgrade the STi? :D

C63 has a lease rate of 7.45% which translates to an $1100 payment on a loaded car for 36 months... haha this thread got me to price one out on their website.

I am waiting for some incentives or a lower lease rate... Wonder what the finance rate is right now.

No deals. I think they are offering 4.25% financing (something like that) on the C-class. Not sure if that applies to the C63 though.

So it looks like Hyatt is the better dealership to deal with? They are closer to me anyways.

Prime is 3.5% guys. I don't think the interest rate is going up anytime soon! Plus some of you might have prime minus!

Yeah, I did the same thing.

I was thinking that the 1% finance at BMW and the incentives on the M3 might get MB to do the same on the C63.

Hyatt has always been win over lonestar since I was a kid....better treatment, better service, better sales people, better techs.

Done.

As long as you buy a new Mercedes every year you will get great service. Other wise expect a boot to the face when you go in there.

Now the actual mechanics are a different issue I believe they are high grade.

I've had a pretty bad experience with Hyatt; on the other hand, I found Lonestar to be a bit better.

I've been using both dealers since 2002 and it's fairly hit and miss occasionally at both in my experience. As for the parts counter this is were Hyatt shines compared to LoneStar IMHO

I just want good service for regular maintenance stuff. Acura has been pretty good but I would rather get a loaner car than have to ride the shuttle. Other than that, I want my service to be done in a timely manner and professionally. I'm just a bit nervous to deal with either dealership as I've heard good and bad things about both over the years on this forum.

I just wish Lexus had something I wanted!

This will be her beater ;)

On a related note...how much wiggle room for negotiating do you guys think there is on a C350 these days?

I was able to get 5% of my c 300 last year. I think there is some room. Also, I had extremely poor service at Hyatt and I get top notch service at Lonestar.
I went to look at a c class a year and a half ago and nobody, and I mean NOBODY helped me at all.
Although I didnt really like my sales guy at lonestar he still treated me as a potential buyer.

I always get winter tires for all my cars. Tough to drive in Calgary winters with out them IMO.
