Watched this last night .. very good movie .. Clint Eastwood was awesome .. the Asian kid wasn't really believable though .. I don't think it's going to be out here till Jan. 9 but dvd screener is out :thumbsup:

Actors were chosen to portray accuracy, rather than quality of their acting skills. They were all first time actors chosen by Eastwood himself.

kinda reminds me of Boyz N The Hood. Except with an asian twist.

I also agree with the bad acting. It was really bad. I'm pretty sure they could've found more talented asian actors..but w/e.

There's a reason for the acting skill of the Asian actors. Clint Eastwood chose authentic Hmong people to portray accuracy rather than for their acting skills. There was a reason behind this. If you went in watching expecting the greatest acting...you're probably as uninformed as those who thought Marley and Me was a comedy..:facepalm:

Give me a break, there are tons of unknown decent actors they could have chosen.

I watched the whole movie, which says something because there are tons I just stop watching, but I would not call it "good" or recommend it to anyone. It was super cheesy. I am not a big clint eastwood fan though and I'm guessing this film is a nod to his fans.

The weird thing about watching that movie was at the end of the movie, i didnt see at least one other asian person/group in the theatre. :dunno:

I watched in interview recently with Clint Eastwood stating that it will likely be his last movie, there aren't too many roles in good movies for him to play anymore.

Awesome movie, Clint was most excellent in it, so many racist comments/jokes :rofl:

Asian actors were kinda meh as everyone has said but it didn't bother me any, pretty damn good for first timers if that's true. Overall good movie, kept me interested and entertained the whole time 10/10. fuck his family in the movie sucked balls.

It was a good movie, but fuck the asian actors really irked me, they were terrible.

But Clint was spot on, I love how he grumbled anytime he had to do a task, or was asked a question.

I think Clint and the Priest acted well, while everyone else was terrible.

I couldn't really see what his test results said from the doctor, was it legible? I knew he was sick and all and there must have been a reason he called his son. Just Wondering
