I'll be using the factory wheels for the winter, and I'm having a tough time coming up with ideas for summer wheels. I'm looking in the 18-20" range.

Bolt pattern is 6 x 115mm. Factory offset of the 18x8.5 wheels is 42mm.

It looks just like this (silver):

How are you finding it in the winter so far? I just parked mine in the garage and drive my jeep instead, so I was just curious as to how others find them in the snow.

I sort of like the look of the stock rims, so I just leave mine as is - left me the money to spend on other mods too :D

Awesome car, i considered one of these before buying my M3. Winter hasn't even official begun yet, so you have lots of time to figure out what wheels/tires you want to run in the summer. What size are you thinking? 20s?

This is the best time to look for summer wheels as you probably get it for cheaper and you avoid the mad rush. Don't get anything mesh IMO.

CTS-V is THE hardest car to find wheels for. The bolt pattern is totally fucked. I got lucky and found some custom Team Dynamics in a group buy. Another way is to check the CTS-V forum and find some customs second hand. Otherwise call up CCW and get them to make a nice set for you. You're looking at 500-1000/wheel.

Don't even waste your time looking at Japanese wheel manufacturers. They don't make wheels in that bolt pattern.

Good luck!

Sweet ride, I got a normal CTS and drive it in the winter. It is not bad, just like any ohter rear wheel car. CTS has a winter mode (starts in 2nd gear if i undestand correctly). I use it in the snow and it helps alot. Drove it all last winter and whatever we had of winter this year on all seasons, not bad

Yeppers, thats why I like my CTS, unlike the V it has a 5 bolt pattern which makes it alot easier (i just have factory right now, was going to upgrade right away but i bought it used and they threw on brand new tires, so couldn't let those go to waste)

This is Ekliptix (Graham) posting from his Brother's account. My Brother's the one with the CTS-V (we both have LS6's now haha.)

Thanks for all the info. He's actually ordering some winter tires from tire rack.

For summer wheels, can anyone ID these:

I saw these on a CTS-V in Calgary. The car was dropped and those rims stood out big time. I love the bold looks.

I have a 04 Silver, pretty much like the one in the first picture. Have Dunlop WinterSport M3. Got them from Jay at Tunerworks. Very good to deal with. So far I am not getting used to winter driving. Step on it and the tail end swings out. Get pass by every kind of cars when I am starting from dead stop. Stopping is find, just getting going. Was stopped on McKnight and 2nd street or so NE and had trouble getting started. Put in two 36lbs of sandbags in the spare tire area. I am thinking I might need another 70 lbs.

Those are nice summer wheels!

I've proved first hand that we shouldnt be drag racing with the traction controll off. Cost me a few grand and 2months of downtime.

Lots of wheel ideas in the cadillacforums website, and lots of people with pics for you to decide what looks good on the car. Groups buys and vendors giving out discounts could help ya score what might be more expensive locally.
