^ Some of the list seems pretty accurate to me. I personally know people who have actually gotten their Caravans and Civics and Integras stolen.

List is based on actual insurance claims across Canada. You'll see a different list released by local police departments like the one the Calgary Police issued when they talked about their Bait Car Program which is based on Police reports.

I just helped my neighboor fix her ignition this morning after someone tried to steal her 2000 civic SIR.

Do you think this list better represents the desirability of these vehicles amongst thieves or the lack of vehicle security? I assume the most desirable vehicle for a crackhead is the one he can break into the fastest. :dunno:

1. Value - part out or for crime

2. Security

I know for some cars you can buy a standalone ECU that will have an option to disable the immobilizer so basically all you would do is break into the car, swap the ecu for the one that has the disabled immobilizer and drive away.
