Im thinking of installing a tankless water heater, need a plumer for a quote on how much they may charge to install it. Thanks.

Depending on how large your house is and how many fixtures (showers, faucets, dishwasher, washer, etc.) you have demanding hot water will determine which unit you need. The units cost roughly $1,000-$1,500 depending on size (GPM output)and most contractors charge between $2,200-$2,700 for a basic install requiring only the basic venting kit. A factor that many homeowners overlook when installing a tankless hot water heater is the location of the unit itself. If you can't install the unit on an exterior wall with a direct route for venting then you can easily spend another $500-$1,000 on the stainless steel venting.
