Java Updates. How many do you save?

So looking at Add or Remove, folder I have Java Update #2,3,5,6,7,and 11. Taking up much space.

Can I remove all but the latest update? While maintaining Java?

I would remove them all, then install the latest from the website.

Some programs required certain versions, and are usually distributed with them.

So worst case scenario you might have to install an older version, and the latest.
