if i were to drive my car on the highway right now...assuming the asphalt was dry, would this be wrecking my winter tires?

or even dry asphalt in the city?

I just drove to Vancouver with my winter tires and it's fine.
As long as you're not driving on a hot day like the summer time. Your tires are just gonna wear down normally in this weather.

Hate to be a bearer of bad news & applogize for off topic but just watching the weather network and they are telling people that if you do not have to drive thru bc passes don't... They are getting 15 - 20 CM of snow all day today ( Dec 21st ) and might after the snow get the freezing rain that Seattle is getting right now and have been getting for the past 3 days.. Goodluck & maybe try looking for a flight dude.. .

Not that I recommend this for most people, but running winter tires in the summer is not going to wreck them in one trip to the coast or anything even close.

My wife only drives around a total of 8,000 to 10,000 KM's a year and she runs her winters year round, never taking them off and she gets usually 3 years out of a set...

Yes they will wear faster than your all seasons, but they are not going to melt of the second the pavement is dry or the weather warms up...
