I'm looking to switch from Telus to Shaw and I am wondering how much the Fairchild package is to add-on to High Definition.

If anyone can give me a price, that would be great.
Thanks.

I'm going to go out on a limb here, and say if you call Shaw they'd probably be willing to tell you. :dunno:

They aren't open right now :(

call in tech support; they will be open.

I believe if you pay the extra 10/month you get all HD channels (except ones requiring subscription like Movie Central).

And if you have Fair child already AND "Hdplus" package, then you should have it, no problem.

btw how was telus tv? I heard it doesn't work most places?

One of the Fairchild channels has been free for quite some time, not sure if Shaw fucked up or if its just to get some people hooked to it before they encrypt it again.

Not sure, didn't see if it was included in the Digital TV part. It was in the multicultural section and none of the TV sections stated if they had it or not.

My bro bought a new HDTV and it has a digital box built in (which will only be useful for the Americans) but he was able to get Fairchild for a while. It was a decimal ch like 71.3 but has since disappeared.

As for the cost of Fair Child. If you have an activated DCT it is an extra 18.95 a month and you get 2 channels 130 and 131 if i remember correct. A Vancouver and Toronto feed.

You're suppose to get a magazine every month too, but that doesn't always work...

So for example if you have Shaw digital cable right now it will cost you 55.95 plus HD Plus 9.00 and then Fairchild is extra 18.95

hope that helps.

As mentioned, $18.95.

Not sure if I misread your OP but it doesn't come in HD (you probably know that).

Yeah I know lol.
Wondering if I should just get Digital TV or the high def?

opps wrong channel... i don't watch

You didn't ask why, but i thought I'd throw it out there.
anyways they moved it from from 230 b/c of the expanding HD channels

right now HD is from 200 to 228 or is it 229? SuperChannels 2 in HD
