and allready i am pissed off at the 3G mobile internet... its allready charged me like $30 and i have only had it for 3 hours... anyone know how to make it like the iTouch and make it Wi-Fi only?

you might have a hard time doing that. rogers wants to make the money back for the phone as fast as possible. talk to them very nicely.

Yep, when i got my iphone i called Rogers right away and told them to disable 3G and Edge for me and they did it no questions asked.

jailbreak your phone and there are apps to block data. i have seen it on my friends 3g. i never had this problem because i got the representive to block data on my account

yes, you can call rogers and they will disable the data for you. I also had this done on my iphone and nows its also done on my e71. wi-fi only lol

If you go to general settings there is an option right there saying Disable 3G and turn off push data as well.

Turning 3G off and push data doesn't stop you from connecting to the internet. When 3G is off, you will run on EDGE, which is just a slower form of the internet. When push data is turned off, no data can be pushed to your device(application wise). But you can still go on. It has to be blocked by the provider end.

im sure fido can block it as well, its been said many times that rogers can block it, i blocked mine when i lost my iphone.


yes 15$ for 500 mb isnt much for people who use it much but its a huge upgrade from the 15$ for 4 mb that was being sold previously and the 30$ for 300 mb as well

it's what i use, totally disables 3g and edge unless u want to use them then u can turn it back on

im with rogers, and i called and asked to block it, havn't had a problem since.. ionno about fido tho.

and ive had my iphone for 3 months, and never really had the need for a data plan .. i always just use wifi at home, or where ever i am. saves me the $30 bucks per month

I have never used more than 600 MB and I am a pretty heavy user.

Unless you tether, it is really hard to use all 6 GBs. The other way is to use internet radio.

It should be fast enough as I have a app called Wunder-radio and it works fine with 3G. I even play it in my car using a fm transmitter and no connection issues what so ever.
