Slumdog millionare - best movie out right now

Just saw this at Eau Claire which sadly is the only place playing it in the city right now but this is one of the best movies out right now. Alot better than Seven Pounds as well.

The story of how impoverished Indian teen Jamal Malik became a contestant on the Hindi version of "Who Wants to be A Millionaire?" -- an endeavor made without prize money in mind, rather, an effort to prove his love for his friend Latika, who is an ardent fan of the show.

It's a simple plot but its told in a very original and excellent way. If you've seen City of God its similar to that but not as dark.
And it's not like a typical Bollywood movie with dancing or singing every 5 minutes either. But it sure has an excellent soundtrack.
It's directed by Danny Boyle who has done 28 Days Later, Sunshine and others with this being his best movie so far.

Yea I grabbed a copy of a torrent and I'm watching again already. The flash version off Ninja always gets out of sync near the end.
And I'd say definitely check it out in the theater if you enjoyed it.

Just saw it on ninjavid, wasnt megavideo either, just the divx player
was a pretty decent movie, something watchable
compared to the crap that is constantly being blown out...

Just finished watching this movie. Loved it and the kids were fantastic, The part of getting the autograph is still making me laugh. And Salim Malik when he is all grown up kept reminding me of Michael Jackson....well the EI version haha

Well when I saw it at Eau Claire...peeps just up and left so a lot never saw the dance sequence haha...

It was strange for me to watch a flick with no dancing and singing haha...

Me and my girl went to see this last night, and we both really really enjoyed it. I would suggest seeing it in the theatre though - it's worth it. I'm all for torrents, but this one really deserves your money.

It has everything you want in a movie. Emotion, action, and Latika is pretty freakin hot too.

Funny part is, its not even a bollywood movie in the sense. It was directed by Danny Boyle, same guy who made 28 Days Later and Sunshine. He's a great director.

Having been raised in an East Indian household I did get my fair share of wallops from my mother growing up.

So I mean we have some details from who knows what source, and some pics...I am not denying this incident didn't happen, but because he is famous the spotlight has been brought to it. What about the MILLIONS of other kids in teh same situation even here in Canada, let alone the rest of the world. Why are their plights not brought out to the forefront like this...
