Where's a good place to buy cooking spices from?

I always find myself going to Safeway and buying those individual pouches for crazy prices. This isn't ideal because, not only is it expensive, but I've had a number occasions where they didn't have the spices I was looking for. I also would like to purchase an exact amount so I don't have a huge bag of spice leftover from a cooking experiment.

Is there anywhere in town that sells a decent variety of spices that can be bought in bulk? The chain markets have bulk sections, but the selection is rather lacking.

you can try NW Superstore they usually sell a wide assortment of spices in the E.I aisle.

It would be helful to know exactly what spices/flavours you are after, then I could direct you to some truely EI places haha.

yeah if you go to the import stores the spices are waaay cheaper even if you go from the baking aisle to the spice aisle in the EI section, massive price difference much bigger bag of spice.
