Recommendations for auto insurance company?

I have Bow Valley Insurance Ltd, what does everyone else use and how much a month do you pay? I pay $175 a month. Ya I know its high, but I dont have a 100% clean record.

My cousin is going to be buying his first vehicle in the next couple months and wants to know who would be the best for first time car owners and offer reasonable rates. He doesnt want to be paying $4000 a year just on his insurance.

It's going to be min. $4000 on a newer car (can be even a base Civic DX) no matter where you go. It sucks but that's just how it. Best bet is to get an older car with just PLPD
