New Message red blinking light

My New Message red blinking notification doesn't work for me anymore. Sometimes it goes a few days before I realize I have any new PM's. Any ideas?

Turn on "Pop up message when you get a PM"?

Just notice the "total unread messages" as your "notification".

The popup blocker was blocking the message window for new PM's, which is fixed now... but my original question is regarding the red blinky thing that doesn't turn red anymore.

Another thing I noticed, is that when you click the shortcut to posts under "Last Post", that it may or may not bring you to the right post that it's displaying.
