where to start?

My brother recently handed me down a 2000 accord when he had it he ended up blowing the v6 it had and he got a engine rebuilt in it a 4 cylinder v-tec.
im looking to put some money under ther hood but i got no idea where to start?
it already has an exaust system and air filter but the rest is basic.
its apretty nice car its just slow as hell what can I do ?

then of course, turbo/super

blah blah, every question has the same answers, an engine is really just an engine, you can't make it that different from other engines

What kind of 4 cylinder v-tec is in the car?

turbo kits are always a good power boost
