if it's alright, what did you pay? I love those cars. Would love to own one.

List price was $22900 with 34k kms, from Hyatt Infiniti. Came with 3M on the front and a sound system, when we first when in to take a look at it last week, they wouldn't budge from the price, told us they "might" split the documentation fee with us. So we went back today with my aunts boyfriend who is good friends with Steve, the owner of the Hyatt Automotive group and we got what it for $22400 which is supposed to be the price that they payed + reconditioning costs.

So like $23600 incl tax and documentation fee, which I think is a pretty fair price.

I like that. Looks much more refined and grown up than my WRX.

What kind of transmission does it have? Have you had some fun in the snow yet?

Wow nice, good job.

Dark rich blue color too. It'll come out really nice after a polish/wax shine session.

Definitely doing some work to it soon, Stage 1 tune can be had for pretty cheap apparently. Than probably some exhaust work and a stage 2 tune. Sound system is upgraded already, just needs a better sub. And definitely debadging it and changing the grill.

Not to hi-jack Clown's thread but he would probably want to know too, anyone run a Cobb (Accessport) stage1 or stage2 on the Legacy GT? If so, how was it? pretty quick? From what I gather, faster than a WRX with the same mods but not the newer WRX265.

If it's the one from Hyatt, that car was Automatic.

Yep, its the one from Hyatt, auto tranny :(

And no, no real fun in the snow haha. Comes with the crappy RE29 tires, gotta get those replaced.

And ya, wondering about the stage 1 and stage 2 compared to stock.

http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=102934

Supposed to put it on par with the manual tranny, like 40 more hp and 55 lb ft more tq.

Is the Auto that much slower than the manual?

These cars don't have HID's?

Clown, what size bulb does the Legacy use? It's got projectors so can just slap on some 6000K HID's.

psycoticclown

I actually don't know the bulb sizes haha. Gonna get a HID kit soon for sure though.

So many things to do... and so little money :(

i work at hyatt mitsu and saw that being delivered this morning. Great buy, but you could got a nice bmw 325xi from our lot. Or a brand new Ralliart :D

psycoticclown
01-03-2009, 02:27 AM
Gah, the new Ralliarts are nice :D How much though? I thought they were quite a bit more. If not.......................................................................:banghead:

My friend has a 325xi haha, and I needed something that would be reliable + cheap to fix if it ever broke down.

Another Leggy guy, welcome...we are pretty rare.

As far as modifications go I wouldn't bother going Stage 1 and go directly to Stage 2. The reason being it isn't that expensive and the power gains are amazing. I gained approximately 50whp and 70wtq out of it :D (I have since moved on to a turbo swap, so once you get bored of Stage 2 let me know haha)

That being said, there is no point in using an Accessport when you have one of the best tuners in North America in your back yard. Come over to www.westernsubaruclub.com and PM Airboy if you want to consider your options.

Feel free to PM with anything as well...I have done a ton of research into these cars and am relatively familiar with them.

Nice car. I test drove one when the first came out and was going to either get it or the TL. Decided to get neither cuz I didn't want to spend $45g. Car is great with AWD, fast and handles well.

Good choice!

cool car.
You should post more pics when you get the new grill and whatnot :)

Some cocksack in one of these tried racing me the other day.
I have no idea why. . .since when does a 4 door golf look fast?

must be the seizure inducing headlights :)

jokes aside, how old is your golf>

Stock numbers are 250hp and 250tq with a weight of around 3300lbs. On a heartbreaker dyno my car stock was 171whp and 183wtq.

Oh, and I don't know what kind of grille you are looking at getting but you could try painting the stocker...here is a pic of how mine turned out.

Thanks guys. Very fast car, especially when the boost kicks in, perfect sleeper car imo.

@ Perfect Dark: That looks amazing! How much time did it take? Do you know how much grilles usually go for, I hear alot of the mesh grills have a ton of fitment issues.

Wow, i'm surprised they didn't budge on the price especially in this economy.

In the US, they are struggling so much. I've been offered a brand new Porsche Turbo Cab in Florida for Cost + $500

There was also a Maserati Quattroporte there that is 30k off MSRP without any negotiations.

You are right about the aftermarket grilles, which is why I decided to paint mine and see how it looked. If you are still interested in one they can be had for a couple of hundred for a basic grille all the way up to 500-600 for a carbon fibre JDM one (I know I know but it really it JDM haha)

If you do it yourself I would suggest you clearcoat the hell out of it, mine got pretty dinged up and I will now be blasting and repainting in the spring. As far as time it didn't take long at all, maybe a couple of hours...most of the time waiting to let the paint dry.
