Hey guys,

I need some help from you guys as I am completely clueless to this kind of thing. My bro's car (95 honda civic [lx?]) kicked the bucket, his head gasket is blow and so is the radiator. Is it worth parting it out or should we just give it to the kidney foundation?
What kind of prices would I be able to get for what stuff?

Just to note, its an auto and the hood is rusted to shit. Don't know if its an LX/EX that kind of thing, just that it has no power options.

Thanks for the help. Appreciate it.

Kidney Foundation will likely give you $75 for it

Do both. just keep some wheels on it and i believe the kidney foundation will take it.

I was checking out the kidney foundations website, and they take anything, with a min $100 tax receipt. Now how much could we get for what parts on the car?

just put the car for sale as is on craigslist for $200 or $250 and see if anyone will take it away. Someone might want to drop an engine into it and have a beater for winter, if not call the kidney foundation.

you might make more money parting it but its also a pain in the ass.

haha well they might tell you about min 100, i got a 75 tax credit this past summer for a car that "was running" ( blown water pump and rad) so min 100 bucks is a joke.. they give you like dick all.. i would sell the car as a parts car for 300+ bucks or somthing along those lines

parting it out will be a lonnnnggggg drawn out process, and you may get like 200-300$ from it, (but it would like a year to get this much) personally i would say f*ck it and kidney foundation it, just to get rid of it
