Eleanor just buy those chinese knock offs from Ebay.

The OEM parts will only end up running me about $40 from Bike-Bandit so I might as well get OEM.

I still think you should make the deer pay for them.

a lot of the programs got pulled for the GSXR's late last year, in October you could have had a new 08 GSXR1000 for $11,200 OUT THE DOOR.. I couldn't believe that price, I think my '99 R1 I bought new in '99 cost around $10,500 OTD..

We'll have the new programs and info come Friday morning, so I can't even quote a price for one right now.

Good show so far!

Highlights for me:

New GSXR1k and new R1 look super badass. I think the R1 looks a little wierd tho.. I'm sure it will grow on me.

KTM RC8 is super duper dope... awesome

If you can make your way over to the shit-show chopper section ( :barf: ) There's an AWESOME Honda CB650 that a guy is in the process of building into a cafe racer. Super-wide Comstar wheels in flat black, upside-down ZX6R front end, widened and chopped swingarm ect ect. It's gonna be very very cool when done.

New Kawi 600 kinda looks interesting.

I like the new Ducati 1198s 's, but how can you not :poosie:

I only saw 1098's (Red/White 1098R and Black 1098S), where were the 1198's or am I blind?

The thing that really blew me away was how ugly the new R1 is, I've bought two of the last style (04 and 07) and I wouldn't go near the new one. For the Japanese bikes I'd say that the Honda was my favourite cosmetically.

I also liked the Benelli Cafe Racer 1100, that's a neat bike.

The 1198's look identical to the 1098's. The only giveaway is the "1198" instead of "1098" decals. Ducati upped the displacement this year to 1198 as per WSBK rules.

I think the biggest problem with the R1 is the exhaust, it's just too fat and 'ZX10ish'. A set of aftermarket Akropovic cans will make it beautiful.. and apparently from what I've read, bump you up near 100ft/lbs of torque! yarrr

Actually I was wondering what booth you saw them at? I love the new Duc's, the fact that they come with a warranty makes me like them that much more, but for now I'll stick with my old one and do the maintenance myself.

Well you can tell him from me that his bike is the best custom there. I can hardly wait until it's done.

I'll have to shoot him my e-mail this weekend so he can keep me up-to-date on the project..

I am more interested in how this new bike will sound... the firing order of the cylinders is now closer to Rossi's GP bike:drool: although i have traditionally been a suzuki guy...

Does anyone have any thoughts on the new Triumph Street Tripple R or the Aprilia Shiver 750? I'm thinking of one of these for my next street bike

I have a Street Triple from last year, and the bike is amazing. Fast, light and nimble. Great riding position too.

The suspension and brakes (which are the main upgrades on the R) were fine to being with, and so they made an awesome bike even better. I might consider upgrading to the Daytona setup as well, however, the current setup has been working just fine for me.

Other than that, the bike looks and sounds bad-ass. TONS of compliments and looks when riding this thing.

The Shiver has higher quality components, however, most of the head-to-head reviews that I've read seem to favor the Trumpet.

If you have any questions regarding the Triple, shoot me a PM - I'd be happy to answer anything I can.

Other than that, the show was great. Was really liking that HP2 Sport

That's awsome that you have one of these! I would love to see it in person one day. There are probably enough of us to do a meet in the summer... we should definately try and do something if there isn't already a beyond bike meet.

here's your HP2... always one of my fav bikes there

Congrats !! They're awesome bikes, leave alone for the price they were asking
Yeah a buddy wanted a Burgman 400cc scooter just to commute on and ended up getting a smokin deal on a '08 Suzuki Boulevard 800, limited edition so he picked that up instead.

I saw at Walt Healy, they had an unsold 2006 Yamaha MT-01, for $9k. Down the $17k MSRP
Sitting in the showroom for three years... man what a disaster that bike has been for Yamaha.

Which the Suzuki or the MT-01? He bought that black '08 Boulevard in the showroom from you guys. You guys must be losing big on that Yamaha. Both in storage costs and in price drop. $17k MSRP for an '06 only to be given away at $9k was it?
Jesus. It would be a nice muscle/cruiser to own, I'm surprised it hasn't sold, or are they that bad bikes in general that nobody wants them?

It was hard not trading up for the new R1... damn :hitit:
