Since it's too cold out for me to work on cars...this is what I'm doing indoors!

Just started working on this not too long ago. Currently in the process of sculpting a clay version of the current 2008 Accord Coupe. Let me know what you fellas think. Or any suggestions on improving, or how i should sculpt the bumpers...etc.etc.....

Wow that's pimp. Can't wait to see the finished result.

I'm curious, does the clay come in a big cube or do you buy several packs of it and make one larger shape and then work on it?

Well what you do is get styrofoam and use that the the shape guideline...then you wrap and slap and cover the clay around the foam. After that, you can start sculpting!

The clay I will find out for you and i"ll PM you.
All the clay I'm using on this project i got from my grade 9 careers teacher. I did this same project in his class in Junior high where I made a Nissan 240sx. He wanted to see me finish it and gave me a wack load of this stuff cuz I didnt have enough time to complete it in class. I still keep in contact with him as of today, so I will ask him for you!

That's very impressive after it's molded are you going to paint it or wrap it or anything?

thats crazy, so do you run out to the garage every half an hour to see if a fender seam lines up? lol
is it special paint or does the regular 'Testors' kind of model paint stick to clay?

cant wait for final version, subscribed

Haha...i just follow along and random pictures that I google depending on what side/angle I'm working on. And yeah....there are times where it gets tricky where I have to run out to the actual car! The clay is awesome, all you do is heat it up (hairdryer) and it'll soften up...once your done moulding whatever...let it cool and it gets hard again!

As for painting...Krylon has certain paint that we can just paint right over the clay!

I'm liking what you've done with the rear bumper, but the front's wide-mouth opening seems a little too ricey. From what I can tell in your sig, the stock front bumper's opening would look like it'd be a better fit!

Also, no mirrors?

^^Yeah..that's what my gf said! Umm...i'm not done the front. I'm trying to aim for the TSX mugen front with a lil bit of manipulating. Right now I just got the basic shape of it down. As for the mirrors, I'm leaving that for last...just cause I keep breaking them off
