Hello!

I'm looking for a good app that can do AP testings, bench, how many APs are in my range and to which one I'm connected to, something along those lines. It also has to be compatible to Linux.

I'm trying out wicd but would like to know if there are alternatives.

Thanks and hope to hear from you!

Really, just check the tools list for something like backtrack, it comes with pretty much every linux network audit tool out there, I'm sure everything good is on their list.

Kk I'll check this out. Now the tricky part is actually installing it on the EEE.

Stupid child-like interface. :banghead:

Follow the guides at eeeuser (http://wiki.eeeuser.com/) (http://wiki.eeeuser.com/). Setup your apt sources properly and it's as simple as "apt-get install kismet".

kismet is great, originally I had a list of 4 programs in my post, and it was #1 and #2 because I can't type.
