From what I've seen accords and civics are great, and if they do break they are cheap to fix

the way you are talking it seems you want a car that will NEVER brake down on you.. well if you want a JDM car your looking at a car that is 15 years old.. not to many of them will drive like new and never fail...

I would go with a stock 4 door car or a Van lol.. then you might have a chance that the car has not been shit bagged...Thus lasting longer...

TO whiskas...

Nice edit on your Av and profile info

Um, I think he's being sarcastic.

Reliable - buy one of those Toyota trucks that they smashed and dropped on Top Gear.

no no mazda wankels are like x1000 more reliable than any japanese 4 banger :nut:

but really OP, you are going to get a million different responses/flamage/BS because your title is too vague.

do you mean engine, chassis.. all round, bang for the buck?

IMO you can take any car, yankee, japanese german w/e . if you take care of it, it'll be reliable..

i've seen both japanese and german cars hit half a mil kms :dunno:

lol alot of the cars shipped here have been sitting for a bit, probably just before the 3rd or 4th 'shaken' inspection was coming up
i.e: my brother's Levin has a Heisei 16 sticker on it, which means last registered in 2004 i believe, it was imported in 2006 iirc, sat for 2 years in a field? :dunno:

Historically its been Camry, Corolla, Accord that tend to be the leaders in reliability.

1.Honda's - There everywhere, Common (preludes, civics, accords)

2.Toyota - Corolla (Cheap to fix, doesnt cost much in labor either just like the hondas)

3.Acuras - Integras!

Not like i'd ever drive/own any of these cars but sometimes you just gotta buy what you can afford :)

I used to have a 1998 Accord. I put 200,000kms on it. Except for regular service, not a single thing ever broke, not even a bulb burned out on the car.

Any major work at all in those 550,000 kms???

SOMETHING has had to have gone in that time (clutch, bearings, etc.).
