I was perusing the motorsports sub-forum and noticed nobody had posted anything about this except for this thread:

http://forums.beyond.ca/st/246679/anybody-watching-rally-on-tsn-right-now/

All of the episodes that aired on TSN over the past two months are also available on www.flatovercrest.com . You should watch them. Hell, you might even hear my name mentioned once or twice *shameless plug*

And in case anybody is wondering, Antoine L'Estage is Mistubishi's official factory backed Canadian effort with a brand spankin' new Evo X for 2009. There will be a full out battle for the championship this year between Richard and L'Estage :D There are also some other new/up and comers that could put a serious hurtin on the status quo. I predict a banner year for rallying in Canada, even with the downturn in the economy.

Hardy and I (Team Hardyboy Racing (http://www.rallywest.com/teams/hardyboy-racing) ) will also be attending all 6 national events as well as the regional series in our 2002 WRX. We came 8th overall nationally after only doing 3 out of 6 events (and won the western series last year) and are looking to defend the title plus move up into top 5 territory nationally

Watch your back,

PBR (http://www.rallywest.com/teams/prescribed-burn-rally) Has a new car this year, and we should be doing quite well. Mark was hitting top 5's with the old beater here and there(If he did not have an off).

Competing with Pat will be difficult... damn that guy is fast.

Perhaps I will see you at the Rally's. (Service crew for PBR, and Sweep/Recovery for PFR)

Admittingly enough, Hardy and I have never had a really clean race with Mark because of the difficulties the car gave him last year. The only clean race for both of us was Rocky Mountain, and we had the be-all-end-all mud tires that many teams didn't. This year is shaping up to be interesting, that is FOR SURE!

I'm pretty easy to spot, crazy hair, arguing with my driver :D I'll run into you I'm sure.

Did you ever look at the rear end on the car ? The entire rear end tried to pull itself out of the sub frame after going off on one stage.

Yea, should run into each other, but if its PFR you do not want to run into me. As it probably means you are out of the race or injured :(

Rocky was a good race, the mud leveled the playing field a little although making for a messy service.

I went to Rally Défi and Rally Perce Neige a couple of years ago when I was still living in Québec, and I drove down the stages (after the race) in my 01 Impreza just to see what's it like, and I was amazed at how TIGHT the Perce Neige course is at some point.

Major Props to you guys when you finish the races!

And happy to see that Sylvain Erickson got a nice ranking on Perce Neige, he can be a crazy driver sometimes :whipped:

That was at PFR, correct? Hardy and I passed Mark as he was heading back towards service on the transit. Made us awefully sad, he's great competition. Hopefully the new car serves him well.

Thanks for the props. We did end up finishing, a bit disappointing (12th overall, but we came first in class)! Unfortunately we lost a lot of time as we did not put our lights on the car at the proper service. We drove a 1/4 of the rally with just the headlights of the car, which was terrible! Basically driving blind at night.

But we finished, which was really important. This weekend will be the real deal, as Hardy wants a podium something fierce at Cochrane. I hope MJB is going to make it, his entry isn't up yet on the Cochrane Rally's site.
