Hey everyone, i recently removed my blown motor that was built last year, it was hottanked and looked brand new.

now i have this ugly b20 and a dirty dirty tranny,

anyone know of anything i could use to clean the crap out of it.

i was thinking wheel acid but havent tryed yet,

once you have a mint hot tanked motor its hard to put in a ugly dirty one.

Brake clean? Clean it with whatever as best you can, Then paint the block/tranny silver...I see allot of people doing that:dunno:

Exactly How dirty is it? Have you tried just using the engine cleaner at the car wash? Just put one or two cicles of that on there let it sit for a few minutes and rise it out and see if it has made a difference.

Depending on where you go, you should get some results. I worked detailing cars a few years back and we use to get the dirtiest motors ever that looked like they had never been washed and a good mix of engine cleaner and it looked brand new.

this is what i used, brake clean the block, wait till it drys, wipe the cracks that are full of grime. make sure your in a well heated and ventelated area. spray with car brite engine paint, i used aluminum mate for the color.

Simple green FTW, or even seafoam/ Water. For the places you want looking prime use a toothbrush.

yep i agree...

Buy it at wal-mart. They have their own house-brand which is the same stuff as superclean, but cheaper. It's in the motor oil, and car polish section.
