As much as I love beyond(and I really do love it); im wondering if anyone knows of a similar website for the Edmonton area? I like reading the food reviews and what not; however they dont exactly pertain to me up here in e-town.

That's cause the only thing worth eating in e-town is your sister and even that's a stretch! :poosie:

(just kidding)

780tuners is likely your only option unfortunately.

My sister is 14 and lives in Hanna, sorry dude :dunno:.

And 780tuners is disgusting :(

Anything not specific to automobiles?

as far as i know, 780tuners is the only site.

there are other clubs in edmonton, none that i can think of off the top of my head... but they're strictly auto related.

What hell is wrong with 780tuners?

It's no worse than this place, just has a smaller member count.

whats the equivalent of ask leo for them?

IMO i think beyond is a few cuts above 780, even tho iirc they have the same owners.

but thats just me, i've never really looked on there for more than 15mins, is it like the bizzaro beyond, where 08/09's post worthy things/arent trolls? lol

they arent the same owners. Rage offered to run it for them but they is stupid.

Besides... its calgary vs edmonton. Ofcourse we hate them.

Besides... Calgary > Edmonton in every way shape and form.

Exactly. There are Toma's, 01reddx's, ALL of the people that the people on beyond have come to know (that make beyond what beyond is) are represented almost exactly the same on 780tuners. Its friekin' downright scary in fact. The only difference is the one quoted, it is a smaller forum.

As for a place similiar to ask Leo, jesus do you ever come out of your hole? ;)

I wouldn't say they have similiar threads, but some parallel quite nicely (and have been ripped off of beyond) which only makes it all the more coincidently odd/eerie!

i never felt i needed to know about stuff like 'big sale at west ed!' or 'flipped skyline on the whitemud' and 'anyone see the huge pothole on the yellowhead near...'.. not my city, no need for me to be on there..

hey you're from Red Deer wheres your car forum lol i guess you can join both

the few mins i was on there, seems really unorganized coming from Beyond, maybe thats just me but their 'General' section comprises of 'What hotels for cheap in Vegas' threads to stuff like 'how old is your cat' 'what restaurants are good in st albert' '*various iphone blackberry problems, please help!*' and 'Edmonton oiler fans rollcall'.. i enjoy my structured forums :D

but i do see some similarities like the random chick who comes on and stirs up everyone with her posts and the jacked threads like 'how old are you, what car do you drive and how much $ do you make'

My car forum is hanging out and chilling at various shops throughout Red Deer ;) 80,000 people do not warrant a forum like 780 or beyond, its just not enough.

If I visit Beyond (which I do a couple times a day) you will find 780 open at the same time on my monitor. To me, they are one in the same thing, a place for Calgary and a place for Edmonton dedicated to cars. Since I tend to spend a lot of time at each place when not in Red Deer, it keeps me informed.

Also, while it was nice you pulled the random shitty threads from the locker room, they aren't all like that. One that is near the top (ie: its recent):

Due to popular demand... (http://forums.780tuners.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=94039)

And he's posting nude pics of his ex

Thats just one out of the many on the front page. Mabye not necessarily as creative/original as beyond... hey, beyond is beyond, it kicks ass. But 780 does parallel it quite well, there isn't much arguing about it IMO.

I don't like 780 tuners because I can't register using a gmail account, and that's all I have.
