Hm...awfully curious -- were Jeffrey Steingarten or Isaac Mizrahi judges for this particular episode?

I always get so hungry watching that show. Then, try to cook up something equally as great, only to be disappointed and hit Wendy's for a spicy chicken

iron chef america cant hold a candle to the original japanese iron chef

and bacon as an ingredient? i always liked it better when it was a giant octopus or something that was alive and the chefs just go to town with the clever

The best one was Banana, because most of the Japanese chefs had no clue what it was

Everyday Italian!!! smoking hot, and smart.. but at times she is too cheery and overly joyous. she gets all excited when she puts olive oil in a salad, as if no one has tired or done that before.

still like her recipes and her body/face. but would not want to be around her for longer than 30 mins. lol

Do you watch Californication? Season 2, David Duchovny's character says "Don't you just want to fuck her and punch her in the face?" to the cooking chick on TV...haha!

that's why you cook something first, then watch the show while eating it, that way you trick yourself into thinking you're eating what they're cooking

works best when you make a bowl of noodles, and they make some kick ass soup

Gosh that looks nasty. Not particularly for all the meat, but from all the salt... Salty bacon + seasoning salt + bbq sauce + italian sausage...... :barf:

Although.. In a related note, my preferred method of cooking bacon now is directly on the BBQ. It drains all the grease, cooks the bacon to perfection (soft with a hard but not crunchy surface), doesn't shrivel it up, and best of all, no clean up.

So anyways, what kind of dishes did they churn out with the bacon?

I miss the old original japanese iron chefs, where you actually get quality challengers AND quality ingredients

Haha, hilarious!

I think Iron Chef America is overdramatic though.
Alton Brown knows his stuff.

Alton Brown knows his stuff. I like Alton on his solo shows. He definitely knows his stuff and he's a good teacher.
