accident question

so today i was in accident yada yada my question ismy bumper is destroyed i will need it replaced i also have a bumper waiting to be picked up at speedtech can i get my insurance to buy that bumper(the one at speedtech) or do i have to pay the remainder and fax them the bill:drama:

My understanding, and correct me if I'm wrong people, is that insurance will ask you to get quotes, then send you a cheque for the amount of the lowest quote. Therefore, if this is true, you can buy that bumper and in fact this turns out to be a GOOD thing for you. :)

another question once i get a quote and the body shop when do you want us to start i just tell them i wanted a quote?
