Does anyone know where in Calgary offers Jiu-Jitsu or/and MuayThai, MMA classes on weekends?

there's no BJJ at bdb on weekends....only Kickboxing on Sat and Wrestling Sat/Sun

i used to train downtown at Mike Miles Muay Thai for a few years a while ago im not sure that its there anymore, but it was open 7 days a week.

i know theres a place there now, but didnt know if it was a relocate or a second location. in that case, i dont know their hours anymore.

I'm a member here and I enjoy it. The class sizes are a bit big right now right after New Years (resolutions and whatnot), but should level out soon.
They offer sessions on M-W-F-Su right now and will likely add to the schedule soon to make smaller classes.

^Thanks; is the method they teach more a defensive type style? if that means anything, I'm kinda of noob with this stuff which is why I'm hoping to learn.

Adult classes are taught by Malcolm Bale who was taught by Kevin Lintott (sp).

i used to work w/ malcolm and he's an awesome dude...he's been inviting me to train w/ him but i train at another gym, lol.

Agreed, he is an awesome guy. He makes all the classes a lot of fun and he keeps a really good atmosphere for everyone. He really knows his stuff.

I believe it works out to about $93/mo... They get you to pay for 3 months at a time though, so $279.
I think they are offering a free Gi right now and a bunch of other perks.

re: Muay Thai Institute, the most expensive place I've come across. $105 for a required uniform and $125/month. Ouch.

i don't understand these places that charges ridiculous amounts. $105 for a uniform....what uniform for muay thai?? lol, does that include gloves? $125/month is ridiculous...
