Coach Hill outdoor rink?

Anyone know what's going on with this? I dropped by for a skate and find out it's not been flooded this year...and then find out it's gonna be torn down soon and replaced with a badminton fitness centre thing. WTF!!! Anyone else know this was happening?

My dad used to flood it 8-9 years ago, I have no idea what's going on now. Hit up signal hill or glendale rinks, they both have zambonies but they can get pretty busy.
