are they worth it... new engine is going in the car so I'm still wondering if I should get them or not. What do they really do?

plus the mazda speed ones are $440cnd w/o shipping (%60 stiffer)

Thanks :dunno:

If they are worn out I'd get new stock ones. I just replaced my engine mounts and the car feels much smoother........but my old ones were broken and worn out.

Yeah, if you're putting a new engine in there anyways it will be a helluva lot easier than doing it later. The car is 10 years old so it's probably worth it if you're keeping it.

Just be ready to get your brains rattled out. Stiffer motor mounts means less vibration absorbtion. Especially in a 4cyl car you will get quite a bit of vibration at and just off idle depending on how stiff the mounts are.

I've got an upper engine mount insert (addition to the stock bushing) and a complete aftermarket lower engine mount and bushings.

It vibes like mad! Especially when it was brand new, and not "broken in".

The only performance difference they made was lessening the wheel hop... a little...
