what is wrong with the stock cast one? doesn't crack enough for you?

imo the only time you should need to get an aftermarket one is if you are going top mount or something

uggg you dont get it.... the power gains of a aftermarket mani over a stock sr20 cast piece is not worth the money, now if you had a big t3/t4 turbo that needed to be top mounted then yes, aftermarket is needed.... really not worth the headache to pull the whole turbo unit to replace a stock mani when it is working fine

i have to say i agree with echery, i have a stock sr20 cast manifold if you would like. Unless you are spooling a bigger turbo, like i am, you dont need it for a stock turbo. im running a 2860rs, so it helps me to have a good manifold.

if you must go with an after market one make sure you have a flex pipe somewhere near the down pipe/included in the down pipe

my engine came with a aftermarket one and when it cracked i replaced it with a stock one and i was running a s14 bb t28 then a gti-r t-28 with the stock one at about 14-16psi just fine

It really isnt that hard to change the manifold if you have the know how and right tools for the job.
It takes a little bit of patience and a little bit of flexibility but I have never had a problem doing it with the engine in the car. :dunno:

But hey whatever floats your boat, a thing I cant stand is how the log manifold looks like a pos. It performs fine but damn its fugly.

well yeah im putting in a bigger turbo so the stocker wont work for me.. the turbo doesnt fit well with the stock manifold.. ...

all of the gt28s will fit fine on your stock manifold, altho it will spool better with a DECENT tubular manifold.
