I hope the rap's do better this year than last, other than last night, so far so good. But we'll see if Vince stays healthy.

SA vs Suns both teams shot under 30%
Minnesota had their franchise low against the NEts.

Defense is always ahead of the offense early in the year. It will catch up this week and will see alot better basketball accross the board. I know what your saying though watching these teams shoot so bad is tough.

Man Toronto sucks... so does Vince, they should have never chose him to be the Franchise player.

Who would you have chosen that they could get their hands on?

I'm still wondering what things would be like had T-Mac stayed in T.O and Stephon Marbury never left Minny......

Kobe actually said it best about T-Mac... he said that if T-Mac had stayed in T.O. then the Lakers would never have been three-peat champs...

And Marbury just didn't fit in Minny... he wanted the ball too much, and there was no way K.G. was going to give it up to him.

Marbury is best where he's at. Phoenix is a good team for him...he's got Stoudamire and Marion to dish to and he's free to do his thing as well.

If T-Mac had stayed in Toronto the Raptors in my opinion would be in the top three in the East FOR SURE. But I'm glad McGrady's doing his thing in Orlando....if Grant Hill ever get's healthy again they might do better and better. The Magic are eventually gonna get sick of waiting for Hill to have a healthy season and deal him....and since he's Hill they'de probably get good shit in return.

That off season when Duncan was a free agent and was considering signing with Orlando....damn that woulda been sweet. Woulda been odd to see him in a Magic jersey though.

They couldnt get their hands on Tmac because he didnt wanna play there=p, he was a freeagent and he left via sign and trade deal to orlando.

Thank you for saying it. I'm sick of people saying things like that. What if a team could have kept every single good player they ever had on their roster?

Lakers just got SPANKED by New Orleans last night!!!

Go Hornets!!!!!!

Also, Raps set a new record for futility for scoring points... maybe they should hook up with the Flames and talk about how easy it is to win without scoring!!!!
Just pathetic.

Also forgot to mention:
LeBron's team: 0-6.
Carmello's team: 3-3.

I think rookie of the year is more than how many PPG they get... at least Carmello is helping his team win.

Yeah too bad to see the unbeaten streak end so quick, it was fun while it lasted though. And yes the Rap's do have a serious offensive problem.

Your right the Rookie award is more than just a PPG thing but I still don't think that Carmello has proven to be the best rookie just yet.

best thing that could happen to the cavs is to get the first pick next year and get Okafor. They will be a championship caliber team in 3 years if they can get him.

Hmm.. I think they will be better but I have a tough time thinking that okafor and james are as good as some of the other duos (or quads) in the league right now.

Didnt say it would happen right away=p, it would take 3 years after they drafted okafor for them to make a run. Would be james 5th season and Okafors 4th season. If youve seen Okafor play, hes that good. And if you havent seen him play think Ben Wallace with an offensive game. Best player in college by far this upcoming year. Hes a beast. He will be the best center to come into the league since Shaq when he gets drafted. Type of player you build championships around.

With him can trade Davis the heck out of there, and would have james, miles, okafor as a very good trio. In the east they would challenge for the playoffs within no time.

You guys are simply forgeting about the Old School Baller like WILT Chamberlain. Chamberlain won both Rookie of the Year and Most Valuable Player, leading the league in scoring (37.6) and rebounding (27.0). Chamberlain scored 50 or more points in seven times. Tell me any rookie that try to compare to Wilt.

If those 4 arent enough ill come up with more. But those are examples of better 'rookies'. ANd we are talking about basketball ability not Star power or hype.

Consider this, if he was going at it for ~35 years he would have had to had on average 1.5 women per day every single day. Possible, maybe but not likely.
