Its a Brake resevoir cover. Its used to soak up and absorb leakage of fluid from the cylinder.

Jesus, I think I'll call my grandma up and get her to knit me one rather than to pay 30 bucks for that, HAHA

Wouldn't it eat right through that? Since brake fluid is known to peel paint if it comes in contact with it... :dunno:

its for the brake fluid reservoir, and i don;t think its to soak up extra fluid, but rather for insulation.

that one is JDM, and the pic is from the JDM CTR in last months import tuner.

You don't want to insulate your brake fluid. The fluid needs to get rid of heat to work properly, otherwise it will boil over and you'll lose all pedal feel.

that pic is from import tuner...

There you would be greeted by a U.S.-market '99-Spec Integra Type R brake master cylinder and brake booster, snuggling next to a Spoon master cylinder brace (believe it or not, the brake-cylinder housing does actually flex under REALLY hard braking conditions). And, to complete the true Japanese race-car feel, a pair of Mugen socks (not the kind that go on your feet) adorn the brake and clutch master cylinders

they are called socks....they ARE for fluid overflow, i was wrong

i don't see why u would shell out some $$$ to get them dirty with fluid tho
