Lock frozen

So my situation is that my car door lock was frozen. I got it defrost, but now my door won't lock at all. Does anyone have any suggestions :(

take door panel off.. adjust metal rod tighten screw!

I assume your description is correct and the door just won't lock but it does close.

Either pour methyl hydrate down between the window and door panel in an attempt to unfreeze things or go for a long drive with the heater blasting.
