Where to get "Audio Bone" headphones?

They play music through the "Audio bone" or something, instead of though the ear canal. My dad's pretty hard of hearing, and says he's had an ear test using this technology and he could hear everything perfectly.

Isn't that the same technology for deaf people?

I can see it saving your ear drum but how would it be better, I don't know.
