Personally, I'd rather have a 10 second card with a tiny degree of reliability....

damn if mitsu engineers put the time into making some of those parts that much more reliable (and a little lighter) from day 1, these would be great cars to have.

but +1^ for a slower car that could run all night

Personally, I'd rather have a 10 second card with a tiny degree of reliability.... that's Matt Monett- here's the deal with the axles. He pretty much decided the axles might be his last weak spot on the car, so he had some 300M axles specially made. Those are the POSes that grenaded on the first two runs that night- the company that made them for him fucked up, from what I remember him saying on 3SI. He went back to the stock axles and, iirc, he's still running them with no problems.


-Later last year, he babied the car to a 9.60 on Pinks: Passtimes.
He took it easy 'cause he didn't want to break on national TV:D

Believe me, he could run 9's for a long time without breaking anything.
