I live on 17th Ave SW...as an ongoing effort to cut my monthly spending, I am planning on working out 1-2 times a week only so where is the cheapest place in the city for drop in fees??

I remember 10 years ago when I was 18, it was 3.50 per drop in at the community centre...sigggh...

at 2 times a week, you may want to consider a 10x pass for Talisman.

Beltline aquatic (city owned) may be worth it as well, but the gym is uber ghetto

Your best bet is with City gyms.

If you can do night workouts, last 90 mins at talisman is $5.

How ghetto is it? Apparently it's 4.30 if I get drop in tickets....

I go to Gold's (I have a membership) and apparently this does work..haha..as long as your going after midnight. I have heard of people just going right through...the midnight shift guy doesn't care.

Like a hotel gym, in a cheap hotel.
there are no more than two or three cardio machines, a set of free weights, like 5 through 100 bounds, and then a couple cable stations.

If there are more than 4 people there, you'd have a hard time moving around or getting to use what you want.

However, I went once on a Saturday afternoon and there was no one around, so maybe no bad....

half the time I forget my pass and walk on in anyway, the employees at the northland location are too lazy to give a shit!

Beltline gym is awesome. Generally quiet if you go at the right time and no idiots there. Old equipment, but it does what it needs to.

What he said. It's not a bad facility and I believe you can by 10X passes even cheaper... and it's close
