Looking to purchase my first flames jersey and was wondering...

What is the difference between CCM and RBK jerseys?

I saw CCM jerseys last night for $60 compared to RBK jerseys selling for $125

Only difference I know of is that CCM is replica and RBK is "authentic"

Does it really matter?

$125 is NOT the authentic ones. Authentic ones are at least $300.

Aren't all the new jerseys RBK? the CCM ones are probably the older styles.

the CCM ones you saw might have been the older ones, without the flags on the shoulders, I've seen them for $60 before also

not the newest ones, like this

IMO the older ones looked nicer anyways

The authentic ones are something like $500 + (with cresting) if i remember correctly, and teh sizes are numbers like 48, 50, 52, etc etc...

To each their own, but I like the new ones. Sportchek has some new jerseys with the players names on them (again, not authentic but they're close enough!) for like $160 I think...or $125-130 blank.

Authentic ones are really expensive, as said above. I can't spend THAT much on a jersey...as long as it looks good, I don't care if its not 100% the real thing

New third jersey SHOULD be coming out next year. I am holding off until then, and keeping my fingers crossed we bring back the red+yellow.

From googling a bunch at the beginning of the season, word is that this 3rd jersey is gonna comething completely new.

I know, but I am hoping for a spin-off of the classic, kind of like what the Oilers did this year.

Correct about the sizes - and the "authentic" pro RBK ones also have the fight strap/tiedown.

xcited, maybe even a little nervous, you'd think it would be tough for Ken King to keep the new design under wraps for an entire year.

After speaking with the Calgary Flames president about a third jersey the team is going to launch next fall, there's little doubt King will be able to keep the secret.

Four franchises have unveiled new alternates, with another 14 rumoured to be doing the same in the near future. King confessed the Flames are in the final stages of putting theirs together, but was tight-lipped about the new look.

"It's pretty much complete," said King. "We're working on one aspect of one shoulder patch that we're figuring out a little bit, but the rest is complete. It's 95% complete."

I'd rather just spend 60 bucks than 350 bucks to wear another mans name on my back

HAHAHA! I was looking at that and the first thing I thought of was McDonald's. Then I noticed the "McD Edge" logo in the corner.

And yeah, I liked the previous jerseys more as well. I only bought the new ones cause of the Alberta and Canada flags on the shoulders! Haha

You can say that again. Because of them, real Flames fans have a very hard time finding Tickets to the games. :banghead:

On the bright side, at least all the games are sold out :)

Edit: For the jersey, the old one is waaaay better. I say that because i have the old one and so do the others :D

Still haven't bought a jersey yet lol

Are the "Authentic Game Worn" ones a little darker than the other jerseys?

A friend of mine just got a jersey he claims is authentic.

It is made in canada.
It says Authentic on the tags
Has the fight strap and all

But when I compared his with a replica at the store, his is a tad darker....

:dunno:

Perhaps it's sweat or Gatorade residue?
