I am looking at a 1982 Toyota Supra MK2. The body is in rough shape, but the engine runs very good, new clutch....and has around 240,000kms. Its fully loaded with all power options. So my question is how much would you pay for the car??

I wont be driving it, since the accident so I wont be insuring it anytime soon, it would be a long term project car.........thanks!

Yeah probably no more than around $1000 or so. Especially the fact that it's over 20 yrs old and the body being in rough shape.

1000 is a fair number. keep in mind that the mk2 isnt exactly "highly acclaimed" like the newer ones

If you are making it a project car. Pay extra for one with a good body. I've seen them upwards of $5000-$6500 for a one-owner, never winter driven, nobodys project car version. Then again, you also see them quite often for $1000 for the typical rusted out beater which may or may not be worth it.

Another option... the 83 in the bargainfinder that says very fast, is very fast with the 7M-GTE + few upgrades. They might look funny, but they are definetely lighter than the rest of the Supras. The guy is a friend of mine and mentioned that he has run 12.7@113mph at race city on street tires. I've seen him run 13.0 at Race City on street tires years back and been for a ride and it is a very quick car... Definetely hard to find a $6000 import car around here that will do that all day long.
