My girlfriend's laptop just died. It won't even POST, you hit power, the blue lights come on and nothing else happens.....there isn't even anything on the screen, no fan spin, nothing. So I'm guessing it's the motherboard or CPU (hopefully not the LCD), so I'm wondering if anyone else has a stripped out V3000 or just a motherboard for it that they want to sell for cheap (free?). Thanks!

There is a 2 year extension to the warranty for that unit for the problem you describe.

Check to see if that applies to you.

The problem with that notebook, is if you lift it be a corner or side or whatever while its running, it will eventualy die.

i would see if the warranty applies to you, get it fixed, ditch it.

It applies, thanks, but that warranty ran out in October and they won't do anything for me. Looks like HP fucked me again. Still looking for a motherboard to swap into this thing if anyone has one.
