For some reason, my computer speakers decided to stop working. I have another headset plugged in and that's working perfectly fine. (Yes, I know I have to set one as default.) That's not the problem and they aren't muted either.

On my audio devices, it shows that there is sound coming from that device, which are my speakers, but there is no sound coming out of the speakers at all.

I am on Windows Vista, thanks.

do you mean you tried to plug in a set of headphones in the same jack the speakers were?

i think your speakers are dead if the jack works fine.

is there external power to your speakers?

Yes sounds like your speakers went. Try looking them up to a regular stereo and see what results you get.

My headset is in another jack. I can turn the speakers on and off and such, still works.
I still get that beeping noise when you get a text or a phone call.

Why don't you try the speakers with the same jack that your headphones work with?

Must be the jack, I guess.
Plugged it into the back of my Razer Lycosa and it works perfectly fine.

right click "my computer" > manage > device manager > look for your audio and try to update the driver
