installing a cd deck into a 87 camaro

hello, so i have an 87 camaro.. and i'm trying to install a deck..there wasn't a deck in there when i bought the car but there are a bunch of wires..i looked it up and it said that orange was the battery, yellow was the accessories, and black was the ground... i did that and it still wont turn on :S.. so ...just wondering if anyone has some troubleshooting ideas for me because i've never done this before

just need a test light, find the wire with constant power, then turn the key on and find the wire with power.... hard part is finding the speaker wires, some times there are 2 different colors for one speaker

are you sure the deck works? test it on the battery and see if it works

find the red wire.....thats battery.

there are no red wires.. in the Haynes manual for my car it says the power wire is orange, the accessory is yellow, and the ground is black. I dont see why the deck wouldn't work.. i just took it out of the box.

Its probably not related to the deck at all.. have you checked fuse box for blown fuses? Worst case.. run a new power wire from somewhere else. Aka... the battery.
