View Full Version : Anyone know this car/driver?

I am considering going to look at this BMW. (http://calgary.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-cars-BMW-BMW-For-Sale-W0QQAdIdZ104355693)

Owner says it was stolen and rebuilt, which of course is sketchy, so with beyond being the way it is (CSI) does anyone who knows the guy or worked on the car provide me with some background info before I even take a look?

my first impression is to stay away. He has receipts for almost the value of the car he is asking for.

Chances are, the car still needs alot of work and he is fed up with it and trying to pawn it off.

car doesn't start properly in the cold and he wants over six grand for it?
Doesn't matter how much the parts are "worth," that car is currently junk.

yeah that what I was thinking- Its just that im a desperate for an e36 coupe (i mean- DESPERATE) so I thought MAYBE I should look at it and see what needs to be replaced.

anyways-just seeing if anyone knows this guy personally or knows the story behind it being stolen and crap- but chances are I am staying away.

also have a new inner door handle mount,
and a bag of door clips. ...
the drivers side mirror is 1 year old ...
the drivers side window was recently replaced....
sticky drivers side door Holy shit. What the hell did they do to the driver's side of that car?

I'm assuming all that happened when it was stolen - but that's a buttload of stuff wrong with JUST THE DOOR, not to mention everything else.

That car sounds like a whole lot of "stay away" to me.

:werd: I can't see an e36 being written off for being a theft recovery, that's rare. Its only the older older cars with higher k that get written off for being stolen.
