1st Pic: Car is on curb while front passenger wheel is still on street; weight of front end is keeping car down up front; combined with stiff rear sways and low unsprung coilover height (ie. short unweighted suspension travel)

3-wheeling is accomplished with AIR BAGS. It's new trend these days...everyones doing it....slammability with daily practicality.

To 3 wheel: Raise the whole car up, drop one wheel, the opposite corner will rise off the ground.
- With the white MK5 GTI it isn't even lifted off the ground much....the fact he took the wheel off just messes with everyones head.
- The silver GTI had it's rear wheel spun while in the air and the pic was taken.

Not confused at all.....first post of this thread warns you of such trans-manufacturer material heheh :D

Those are not all fronts....notice the concave on the rears. Using adapters would have pushed them wayyyyy too far out so he had to machine his own custom 5x120 hubs for the Jetta. SICKNESS!!! He has every right to rock those BMW badges hard after doing that much work :D.

They are out but I've yet to see any modded pics (except for those by ABT). I'm sure hardcore owners have parts waiting in their garages before they even recieve them so it shouldn't be long before we see some cleanly modded MKVI's.

One thing that I'm a huge fan of is the new Touareg inspired tail lights. MK5 tails made the rear end of the car seem very tall IMO. Never really liked them. The new ones look SICK.

Thank GOD they got rid of that mini-van styled centre console. The new one flows better into the gear shift area (looks very similar to the MK4).

AFAIK a girl owns this car and supposedly it took crzy amount of work to make them fit. I THINK they even had to take the wheels to a machine shop to make the offset work. here are some more pics:

The rear wheel moving forward in the rear wheel well is a result of the MKIV's suspension design. Once you lower to a certain height the rear wheel starts moving forward like that.

I don't think there is such a thing as caster on rear wheels as caster has to do with the ability of the steering wheels to self-centre. The wheel moving forward has to do with the rear beam on MKIV VW's.

No, caster has to do with the angle of the steering knuckles. They are not adjustable on any car other than race cars or custom designed cars.

The easiest way to describe it is look at the angle a front shock to the wheel makes on a chopper Vs a sport bike....it's much more raked....the chopper has much more caster than the sport bike. It's not really the same with cars, I'm just using the bikes as an example..

Dj Lazy: Not sure if you are joking or not but from what I've seen in that pic it ain't a photoshop. There are a bunch of cars doing this kind of thing (1/2 Corrado trailers, 1/2 Jetta trailers, etc).

I don't doubt people are doing that nismo... but take a cloooose look at the trailer hitch/rear bumper of the car... There is ALOT of pixelation, the hitch itself is quite blurred and distorted.

I'll retract my statement if you can find me another pic or 2.. :) until then I gotta call :bullshit: .. even though it does look gangsta! ;)

I did zoom in on the hitch area and also thought it was hella blurry....but if you take a look at the rest of the pic you can see that the two cars are infact different (roof container is different on the trailer, interior on the trailer is different as it has no steering wheel, all reflections are correct, transparency through windows is perfect).

Not a big deal IMO. It's a Euro bumper...they are used because they don't extend out as far as the NA spec ones so they don't look as bulky as the ones we have on our cars. On the front they allow for more lip options as well since you can take advantage of Euro spec parts .

Some choose to keep them in the window like that while others stick them overtop like this:
