That's because he shifts too late and hits the rev limiter. The car is too much for him. Needs lessons. Most people shift by tach. He shifts by rev limiter. :nut:

why does the speedo keeps going up when the tach is bouncing off the tach?

No. It's because he is driving a Turbo car, therefore he has what's called Power and torque, enough to spin the wheels so much that he has to hold the engine at the limiter and wait for the wheels to catch up, otherwise he'll bog when shifting gears.

Because he's spinning his wheels. If he were to hshift, with his wheels spinning, right when the tach reached the ideal shift point, the wheels will stop spinning when he shifts and he'l be going to slow for the next gear.

There's this thing called throttle modulation. The car is too much for him. He needs to learn how to drive it. I've ridden in a supercharged S2000 putting down 455 whp. There was little wheel spin and he never bounced off the rev limiter. He knew his car and knew how to drive it.

Maybe so, but that's not why his speedo is still climbing when he bounces off the rev limiter. The speedo on the S (and on most cars) is connected to the drive wheels. If he's spinning the tires, the speed would already be up there. The reason why the speed is still climbing at the rev limiter is because the S2000s digital speedometer has lag time, perhaps more so than most other speedos.

fastest I saw on there was 180 and he was speaking French so it's in KM/H.

Still not bad though any specs?

In his fastest run, he was just into 5th gear at about 6000 to 6500 rpm. Since it's an AP2, that would put him at about 150 kph, assuming he has no "gears". To go 200, he'd have to be in 6th.

Wow I didnt realise the gears were that short on an S2.

What is so special about that? Just another turbo S2000 with a shit driver.

At 460whp this guy doesn't seem to have problems with wheel spin.

Stock gearing has AP1 of top speed of just over 165 mph but lack of power restricts a NA car to about 150. AP2 is geared for about 150 and it does have the power to get there. However, even with blown power, it still won't go beyond redline.
