Yeah...if you could go ahead and...Post up the Year make and model of your car that would be great...

If you have an AMA membership... just call up their consumer reports line... and they'll give you the info. You need your card tho... coz they ask for the #

How does BlueBook differ from BlackBook? I know on the Dodge website (www.dodge.ca) , there is a link to calculate the value of your trade-in. Pick any car and the menu item appears on the left hand side. These prices are well below what you can get for the car on the open market though.....or at least I found by entering some cars in.

if you go to the toyota website and "appraise your trade-in", i believe it links to a canadian black book site, and you get a free lookup because it's from the toyota site.

i think blackbook is wholesale price (determined by auction), someone correct me if i'm wrong, you'll find that the prices are far lower than prices on the open market

Yah Strider is right...Blackbook is the average auction price for a vehicle...usually much lower than retail. Bluebook is a closer value to what the vehicle sells for on the open market

You could check the value of your vehicle in this site:

http://www.e-car-buyer.ca

they have a free tool that let you do that, and you can access it from your cell phone, have a look

If you still need help, I have a blackbook that was last updated Nov. 15.2006 (they come out every 2 weeks).

Well when my car got written off, I ended up getting a lot more than I originally paid for the car. Nothing I was expecting at all!

Check something the book: Lemonade

The "Blackbook", or "Greybook" for older cars doesn't go back that far...

Maybe too simple, but if you want to know the market, check the market... just see what comparable cars are advertised for and price your car accordingly (with adjustments for kms, equipment etc)
