I hooked my home stereo speakers up to the computer with an adapter. When I play the music off my computer theres no rhythem guitar or it sounds like I'm missing part of the music or something wierd like that. The problem doesn't happen when im listening to records or cds, just off the computer.

Anyone know wtf is going on?

more information is needed, did you hook up your stereo receiver with rcas to your computer or did you direct hook up speakers to the computer?

Yah I picked one of these up recently from the Lethbridge superstore. It was like 7 bucks for the really long one.

The Source/Circuit City, $10.

And as stated, you can probably get them cheaper if you dig.

i thought the 2 lines on the 3.5mm would mean stereo....

if it's cheap and you have optical (coax) on ur receiver try that, it sounds so much better imo

no. yellow is for video is a convention. the cables all work the same. so if you have a yellow cable and you plug both ends into a red it'll still work as a right side sound cable.

yea... total fail. basically in the picture, they merged red and white (stereo) into a mono and then tried to adapt it into a 3.5mm stereo. hence FAIL

oh i see it
the ones i see more often are just 3.5mm at the other end, this is like two separate pieces
