Not confirmed yet but this website is usually pretty accurate.

nice, 280 horses from a 2.2 engine is impressive. I hope they get rid of the stupid looking nose tip at the front end. That's one of the things that ruined that car, why mess what it's good looks? The older Gen looked way better.

I hope it gets the SH-AWD, the FWD only makes it so unappealing when compared to other cars in its class/price range.

The 2.2L is the Diesel engine that we won't get here.

280 hp is the 3.5L V6 sourced from the TL.

shooting themselves on the foot? why the hell would you complete with your own brand (the TL).

I can't see it happening.

Thats why I don't see it happening. But, BMW has been successful for years a offering the exact same powertrain options in different sized cars...

I would probably consider one

It's about time they stepped it up in the TSX. It's one of the last cars left in it's class with an underpowered 4-banger.

Hell, the Accord even gets a V6.

Audi does the same thing with the A3,A4,A6. BMW 3 and 5 series, Infiniti/Nissan puts the 3.5 (now the 3.7L) in everything.

V6 is a fall back since Honda fail to bring diesel over. their engine did not pass US emission standards.

Acura just fired Dick for saying Acura is continuing to go for tier 1 status and NSX isn't dead. I don't think there'll be much coming out of Acura for a while.

:werd: rwd would make the tsx and tl much more appealing. And wtf is with the RL, grow some balls Acura and make it a proper luxury car.

Wow, another fwd car with over 250hp. Why? :dunno:

And I think the car would be way more fun with the 2.4L turbo from the RDX, awd, and a six speed manual.

Well, they got half of it right - they finally gave one of the most un-exciting cars ever a much needed torque boost. Unfortunately, it is still FWD wich is strange considering their excellent SH AWD system. At least make it RWD.

There isn't much to differentiate between the TL and TSX already. Offering SH-AWD will bring the difference into only 20HP, it will affect TL's sales.

Acura really got a problem on their hand on the line up. They virtually now have 3 sedans that are exactly the same other than the price and no coupes.

I'm surprise as well that 2.3T in RDX isn't used more in other lines, especially TSX. Yes the 3.5L unit is cheaper by volume because it's the same unit in the Accord and base TL but it shows how short-sighted Honda really is.

In the meantime, all the Europeans are beating it to the punch on Diesel offering. All the Japanese are beating it to the coupe/convertible and performance offerings. Most are into 6AT,7AT,8AT and DSG while Honda is stuck on 5AT.

All Acura can do is give their cars an ugly grill.

^ The turbo 4 banger just doesn't provide the smooth ride expected of an Acura.

I could see it working for their Honda lineup. Especially the Civic, but other than that I don't see it working for many other cars.

ok so the 2010 V6 TSX is out

0-60 5.9s 1/4 mile 14.4 sec

not to shabby,

why they didnt come out with this 5 years ago lol

but its definately getting pricey. a V6 I could jump into a basic TL

no 6 speed manual, looks like they want to suck the first batch of buyer out to dry first.

one step closer, now lets talk Type S with 6 speed and SHAWD

The only reason TSX got a V6 is Acura failed to deliver the diesel engine.

So lets see:

They are all almost the same. What the hell Acura?

CL SL CLK SLK ML

Acura isn't the worst offender.

In the states, TSX V6 starts @ $1K less than cheapest TL.

If same holds true for Canada, it'll be $39-$44k CDN.

Competency aside, I actually like the RL, last gen TL and last gen TSX.

For me, it's last gen everything. Theres really nothing in Acura's lineup right now that appeals to me.
