i found the article in july 2003"Car Magazine", e, s, sl and cl lose the 55 in 05-06, and all others lose it 04 to be replaced by big bores and tt v-12's. even the A class gets a 5.3L v-8!!!

Gotta love speculation... let's see how accurate it is when 06 rolls around :).

I've also heard rumors that the E55 is going to be replaced with an E60 (6.0L S/C V8 pushing ~560hp) in MY2005 to ensure AMG has a lead over BMW's upcoming M5.

Also, wern't you going to buy an E55 AMG, or was that someone else?:dunno:

Can't wait till the SL65 now, I though the SL55 was a beast hp-wise, still love it though. :drool:
