Which do you like better and why? I say quiznos has the better quality ingredients but they skimp out on how much they put on. Subway ftw - unlike Quiznos, it actually makes me full.

Quizno's has started cheaping out on their ingredients in the past couple of years, to the point where a footlong sub is cheaper than Subway's (it's like $5 on the value menu).

The bread is fresher at Subway, and you get better veggies. But Quizno's is now cheaper... both have their place. I think Subway is a bit healthier as well.

what kind of poll is this??? there are only two options (and the crappiest options at that),

MR. SUB FTW:thumbsup:

EDIT: i mean, where else can you get canned shrooms and black AND green olives on your sub????

Mr.Sub

But if I had to pick between those two, Quizno's.
Subway is bland IMO.

i reason why the subway sub is so filling is because when you ask for lettuce they throw on half a head.

I'd take Quiznos over Subway anytime.

Subway if I'm having lunch in my office by myself.

Quizno's if I want to impress the ladies on a date.

Subway FTMFW man.

Last time I went there I told the kid behind the counter to make me a meatball pizza sub. The result? Meatballs, four slices of cheese, green peppers, onions, and some deli meat. Nuke that sucker and you are GOLDEN.

Best six inches ever.

The smell of Subway itself kind of makes my stomach do backflips. If I have to choose, Quiznos. However, there are many places i'd rather go before going to either of those places.

Not if you're going with a $30 footlong lobster sub from Subway. Unless you're talking bout spending $95 at Quizno's.

Safeway lumberjack sandwiches beat them all if you want to fill your belly, I've never been able to eat more than 3/4.

The $5 large subs at Quiznos have me hooked as of late, perfect amount of food for me and the price is right. The new pricing structure at Subway has changed thins a bit, I like the footlong ham with double meat for $7.50.

I like them both. The Black Angus Steak @ Quiznos is so good. But I also enjoy the Steak and Cheese @ Subway.

Safeway makes the best sandwiches, you get way more meat and better ingredients than the others.

Used to work at the deli in Safeway, made myself one of those babies everyday, threw on some Proscuitto, Pepper Turkey, Oven Roasted Turkey and Hot Genoa Salami, toasted the bread, fuck it was good. Made a 1.25 kg sandwich every single day to take home :D

^^mmm, that sounds great. that would be a sweet job having access to all those goodies and not have to worry about going to the store and buying 5 different meats and all the toppings, hahahha

i've had some good safeway sandwiches, but i find that the bread is usually too dry, thick and dense for my taste, and it really detracts from the meat and toppings. also, the quality really varies depending on who makes it (they're trained to work the deli and not just make sandwiches). it's OK in a bind, though. the one i usually get is the california something-or-other, with the guac.

Mmmmmm California Dreaming, actually eating one right now, first one I've had since I quit and it's amazing :D

And ya, whoever makes the sandwich makes a big difference. Try getting it on just white bread instead of Rustic Italian or Ciabatta, the white bread is actually really "fluffy", some of the were massive because the bread was so soft and we got that shit fresh every day from the bakery in the morning.

+1 for Subway. You get way more fresh veggies there and the prices haven't gone up with the rest of the fast food. I'm still paying the same for a footlong that I was more than 10 years ago.

I usually go there a few times a week for lunch because of the value. Hell, even Vietnamese subs are getting into the $6 range. It's only $0.99 more for a subway footlong.

is that true? i haven't lived in canada that long, but a $9 would have been outrageous to me in 1999 (when $4 would get you a footlong in the states).

I prefer Quiznos, because it just tastes better. Better bread, better meats, etc.

Sometimes though, I pick Subway though because they pile on the veggies - and occasionally I'm in the mood for that fresh taste.

I went through a Mr. Sub phase - mainly because I used to live by one. But now, I'd rank it my 3rd favorite. I really didn't like their bread...

Maybe not exactly the same but in the late 90's I paid the same amount give or take a dollar or so. Even in 1993 I remember paying $6-$7 for a footlong.

I like them both, depends on the day. Subway is better at the cheaper subs, Quizno's is better at the "higher end."

wow shit in canada was really expensive relative to the states. i remember moving here in '01 and thinking it was CRAZY that a bottle of coke was $1.75-$2 (they were $1 back home). value meals at mcdonalds were like $6 in canada, and $3 back home.

prices have become a bit more equal since i've moved here, but are still cheaper in the states. i can't figure out why this is.

EDIT: also, canada has about 5% of the product diversity that the states has.

I've boycotted Subway because it's so gay at school, never tried a Quiznos because there isn't one close by and I only have Mr. Sub when we go out and get shittered at the alley. So I think Mr. Sub takes the cake.

Quiznos never fills me up.

BMT On herb and cheese with 5 salads of veggies on it... now THATS a meal.

I hate being hungry after spending 10 dollars on a quiznos, although tasty.
