I am starting to dislike how thin the nose sections are becoming...looks really awkward to me...

I love the new F1 design. more visibility for other drivers with the decreased rear wing.

Those cars are just as much a piece of art as they are an example of ultimate engineering. Beautiful.

The nose sections isn't bad. It's the rear wing that's making all the cars look awkward straight on. McLaren got around that by cleverly painting the main rear wing element as well as the insides of the side element Vodafone Orange, so from an angle the illusion is that the wing is wider than it actually is.

Ya, this years cars all look goofy. But the theory is that with the rear wing so high and narrow, the wake, or dirty air is going to be kept high, coupled with the low front wing rules there will be no downforce lost when following a competitor close. This should help improve overtaking.

These new designs are really starting to grow on me with every photo I look at... as long as its not a Renault.

that makes sense....I like the new wing profiles though...

Nose looks really high. At least compared to the McLaren.

Thought it was also to do with visibility, along with said airflow. Reading that on autblog....

Have you raced behind a formula car in a formula car? Changing the rear wing won't dramatically increase driver visibility.

I think the front wing looks more awkward than the rear wing too.
I'm a fan of the RB5.

Hmmm my Potenzas look nothing like those ones.

The curve of the nose thing in the center is really weird, and im not digging the front wing, its a little awkward looking and the nose with the two things holding it.

Not sure but i don't mind, thats just looking at it from the pictures, with it driving I'm sure it'll look better

Im not sure how they got away what the barge board and turning vane, Newey must be reading between the lines.

Also their rear diffuser looks really small and insignificant compared to other cars.

Excuse the n00b question here, but wtf are the front wheels made out of?

what is the purpose of the carbon wheel covers?

It's for airflow management around the tires.

The turning vane is a 'wing mirror mount.' Ferrari did the same thing- just 'happen' to have very aerodynamic wing mirrors.
