LA's actually very well known for car chases, as Zephyr said it's a totally normal occurence in LA and seems to happen much more there than anywhere else in NA. :)

Yep, and it's funny too because stations air it as if it's happened for the first time, and the commentary is just classic. So stupid too they were like "oh wow it's a Bentley!" those things are a dime a dozen down here...

I actually watched one the other day where a female in her 20s stole a uhaul and ran with it. Nothin exciting happened, other then the cop tackling her when she decided to run on foot.
